Fonline Requiem

Hi there,

I'm back from a long trip in the desert and i'm totally amazed by 2238. Empty servers, fucked balance (trollAC), empty town more than before (even mines are empty)....

I just ask myslef about Requiem because i see today and right now (6pm gmt+1) about 300 players on requiem... So my question are :

- Client download for requiem lead to a dead link, does someone as any idea where i can find the client ?

- Does any of you play requiem ?

And what about a russia/requiem trip ? If they didn't changed the map it's smaller than 2238, with lot of players, so that might be fun... I know lot of you are bored by slow move in battle, but Requiem seems really more attractive due to number of players...

I didn't see a lot of complains on official 2238 boards, game seems almost dead on devs sides(as usual!), but wtf, i love fonline and i just can't stand these situation, situation wich made stop to play months ago.

Also in current state, it's almost impossible to bring back more people to 2238..... 2 old friends started playing again one week ago, they definitively stop...

I think i once tried Requiem. All in all it's some kind of RP server (from what i understood) and thats also the problem because it's not only the dialogs which are in russian language but ofc also the players who speak in their mother tongue.

I'd suggest you to rather try TLA MKII. They still work on a proper translation (i guess) and some parts (including the newb camp at start) are already fully translated.

Yeah could be. Last time we was there was about half an year ago or something and back then it was pretty frequented. But those Russkies have many projects one can't really keep track of. So maybe most players moved to Requiem or some new fancy project.

other projects seems not so frequented, i watch them everyday since 10 days and it is like tla mk2, about 25 players :p

2238 is the best. Get used to it, prick ! xD

During this time, on the little Pom Pom Galli Island :

2238 : 65 players
Requiem : 167 players

Even with dual loggers...

You can try it out and give us report about how it works. I dunno Requiem at all.

Fag music ok But battles like we had 2 years ago. Maybe it's slow, but seems so intense !

I tought i already posted it, but i am not fond of learning russian, and i prefer having both Fo1&Fo2 maps.
Of course, it is just my opinion...

Just this, no run = no strategie its just like a Paintkiller you come with your all swarm friend and clic to shoot without move. I think it's fun but after one week you back to your basic : 2238.

I think i spend more than one year and a half on TLA without running, having tons of HP. Running is an aspect, at least you don't have one shoot kill.

What interest me s just playing :p For now i just can't play 2238... Or i need to stop sleeping or stop working

Russian is not a problem, most of them speak english.

Tried with some other crazies a while back, personally i cant stand not being able to run in pvp.
its a decent server but too much russian for my taste.

2238 : 40 players

Where's the action ?

I just looked some seconds at the first video you posted, and rofl. This combat is absolutely ridiculous. No way I'd play on such a crap. That's for unskillz.

Different gameplay, for me it's just fonline before you were knowning it :p

The aim is not skill, it has nothing to deal with 2238 gameplay. It's all about interaction, trouble and players drama. it's MMo part, wich 2238 definitively doesn't have anymore.

Nothing out of TC(at midnight :p) in 2238 right now, just turn based interaction around NCR and AC troll.


And take a look on stats, requiem slow down when Tc action start on 2238 due to time zone, no problem to play it when nothing to do on 2238.

For your information i stopped to play 2238 when all Cajun's goes on and played 6 months alons on TLA in 2009. I really keep good memorises : it was harsh, alone against all the others but i had great battle. (on 2238 i can't even have great battle : you kill a guy he is back with another character 10 seconds later... you his seconds chars he comes with AC troll :p).

... and then you kill him with a grenade in his mouth. No problem.

I prefer kill him and don't see him again, or not 10 seconds after.... The problem that there aren't even people to do such things on 2238 :p

Requiem : half map, x3 number of players

We are 4 started to play yesterday when there is nothing to do on 2238 : Lunoi, shangalar, Sishare and me.

First impressions : good, lot of players, anti-pks, amazing stuffs (comparing to 2238 every servers are amazing !) ; Some ua guys helped us a bit but we were savagely killed by a 10 players force in the wasteland near SF.... Lot of players in encounters.

They dragged us to Super Phun Time and it was so kwoooool.
